中國氣象科學研究院灰霾專家吳兌昨日稱，今年京津冀霧霾天氣中含氮有機顆粒物的含量，超過上世紀的英國、美國等出 現光化學煙霧的城市。他稱其實早在2003至2005年期間，珠三角就已經發現了「危險物」，只是當時並沒有引起足夠重視。他表示，北方的空氣污染物是以硫酸鹽為主，而南方如珠三角的空氣污染物則以氮氧化物、硝酸鹽類為主。
